Fringe Scraps

I made this card using the scraps that were left from the first fringe card that I posted.  This paper makes a very cheerful, bright card that could be used for many occasions.

Flying in to Say ....

Happy Birthday.  My nephew, I know we have so many,  is turning 18 today.  It is hard to believe how quickly the time goes.  It seems like not that long ago that he was born.

Sweet 16

I thought this would make a fun card for a 16th birthday card.  I will have a nephew turning 16 real soon.  Not sure if he is anxious to give his license though.  So many are not getting a license as soon as they can.

It's a Boy

Another new grand nephew for us.  We've know for a while that it was going to be a boy.  Congrats Cathy and Chuck.  They now have one of each.

Southwest Feel Fringe Card

One last card I made using the fringe scissors. This one sort of has a southwest feel to it for me.  I guess it is the clay and turquoise colors that make me think that way.

Christmas in July

So many stores advertise Christmas in July.  I happen to have all my Christmas cards already made but maybe you would like to see a Christmas in July card.  It is so Floridian too.  Don't worry, it isn't the card I am sending this year so it is ok to look.

Ombre and Fringe

Another example of a fringe card.  This also uses what I have seen called the ombre technique.  From what I can tell, it means shades of the same color arranged from light to dark.

Fringe Scissors

I just recently bought a pair of Stampin' Up! fringe scissors. They are fun to use and very easy too.  I have a series of cards coming up that I CASEd from cards I have seen on Pinterest and Splitcoast.  I am not sure which ones came from which site but if you happen to know, let me know so I can give credit to the original.

Fourth of July

Today is the day to celebrate the birth of our nation.  Along with the picnics and fireworks let us not forget that many young men and women have given their lives so that we can continue to have our freedom.  This is a picture of the Arizona memorial.  It was the first tour that we booked when arriving in Honolulu because it was so important to us.

More Love and Sympathy

I usually use this stamp with the flower stamp that is in the set.  I saw a card made with some flourishes so I though I would give it a try.  Just a few days after I made it, my neighbor came over to ask if I had a sympathy card she could use.  There are three of us that seem to constantly need sympathy cards.  I hope they bring some peace to those that receive them.
