Your Day to Shine
I really don't have much graduation stuff. I typed the greetings that are on these two cards. The stars are punches so these cards were easy to make. I added some texture to the white paper and stamped the grad hats on the top card. All the envelopes have a stamped hat on the left bottom corner.

Vintage Umbrella
No one is sick, I just wanted to use this umbrella stamp. But speaking of umbrellas, we sure could use some rain. Really more than some rain, we need a lot of rain. I sure hope our rainy season gets here soon. We did get some from a few of the bands from tropical storm Beryl, so that helped a little. But, some places got 8 - 10 inches and I doubt that we even got one inch.

Christmas Mini Scrapbook
At a recent Stampin Up meeting, one of my fellow demos showed us how to make these mini scrapbooks. When you open it, the book looks like the second picture. You then can pull out a page from each of the inside sections as shown in the third picture. Thanks Thelma for showing us how to make these.

Purse Shaped Gift Card
This is one last example of a gift card holder. I saw one on splitcoast but no template was included. So I drew my own on a piece of graph paper. I figured out how big I wanted it to be, marked points for a trapezoid, flipped it over the x axis and redrew, then drew a smaller trapezoid for the flap. The inside has a smaller trapezoid with slits punched in it to hold the card. I should have taken a picture of the inside too and almost forgot to take any picture of this one.

Local Schools
These are some graduation cards that use colors from two of our local schools; black and red, maroon and white. I know, one isn't quite right with the blue and kraft on it.

Happy Birthday Judy
Today is Judy's birthday. She only looks at the blog when she is visiting one of her children. She doesn't use the computer. Maybe one of them will see this post and show it to her. I did send her a snail mail card too.

Gift Wrapped Gift Card
This little package holds a gift card. Lift the flap with the snowflake as shown in the second picture to reveal the card. Money or a check would work too. There are several samples like this on splitcoast that also include directions on how to make them if you are interested.

Yard Work
We have been working so hard in our yard and there seems to be no end to it. We have raked most of the leaves but there are still many that have settled too deep to get up easily. For the northern relatives remember we rake in the spring. The weeds have been pulled only to sprout up overnight. I wish we could cover the whole yard in glass like our fish pond. To read the story about the development of the fish pond, look back at the blog posts beginning November 12, 2009. The plants in the pond have been replaced with cat tail shaped solar lights. Like a lot of our plants seem to do the original plants in the pond died.

Shining Stars
The top cards has colors from two of our local schools. I know you are thinking those are different than what you showed us the other day. You are right, but we have 7 large high schools within 10 miles of us . Can you tell that the top card has glitter paper on it?

Memorial Day 2012
The Memorial Day holiday is nearing. It marks the beginning of the summer picnic season for a lot of people. Don't forget to pause and remember those who have given their life while serving our country.
Santa's Hat
Lift up the hat between the red and the white and guess what you will find? If you have been following along the past few posts you will know the answer.

The gift card for the snowman goes inside the wrapped package. The back of the tree ornaments hold a gift card. I get all my ideas on splitcoaststampers.com

Celebrate Music
I have mentioned before that I belong to two community bands. Before I joined these two, I also belonged to the Chamberlain Adult Band for 20 years until it closed up shop. The last director recently had his trumpet recital that is required for his graduate program. I made this card and took it to the recital to give him. He will be graduating in a few days.

Many Birthdays Today
Happy birthday to my brother Bob and out nieces Carol and Cathy. They were all born on the same date in different year. Cathy and Carol were born on the exact same date because they are twin sisters. I forget who is the oldest.

Anna's Card - Guest Artist
I taught my friend Anna how to make what I call the bride card although it is posted somewhere on this blog as a red hat lady. She made hers as a birthday card for her grand-daughter who goes to school at USF. The school colors are green and gold and she is a member of the dance team at the school. Didn't she do a great job on the card? And GO BULLS!!!

Flowers and Flys
This card was made using the same set as were on the blog post from yesterday. The butterflies are different stamps but in the same set. I don't know why I haven't used these sets much before because I like them both.
