Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to our nephew Neill and his wife of two years Jerica.  We don't get to see them and the young baby much because they live quite a distance from our house.  Hope they have a great day.

Irish Flowers

There were so many beautiful flowers that we don't see where we live.  The poppies were huge.  The purple flowers were near the end of their time and this is the best one I could find.  I wish I could have seen them at their finest.  I have no idea what kind of flower it is.

Happy Birthday Jack

Happy Birthday to my nephew Jack.  He plays a lot of sports but baseball isn't one of his favorites.  I have run out of other sports ideas though so this year it is baseball.

Summer Pinwheels

You know I get on these kicks of making a certain type of card.  I have been making pinwheels again.  They are different from the ones at the beginning of summer though.  These are a little more 3D.  Happy Birthday to our sister Mary.

Celtic Crosses

We saw many old cemeteries and so many of the graves are marked with crosses.  Jim is now working on a stained glass Celtic Cross.  It has so many tiny pieces I don't know how he can cut them.

Our sister Mary has a birthday this month and so does her son Zach.  Hope they both have a great birthday.

Male Birthday Cards

Just some more playing with punches.  I have three brothers so I am always looking for new guy cards.  They really don't complain though when I send a card with flowers on it.

Many Abbeys

Along with castles, we saw many abbeys, some almost completely in ruins and some complete minus a roof.  This one had so much stone carving that was still in really good shape.  Look at the detail on this crypt.  There was more on the front.  This carving is of the 12 apostles.

Birthday Pinwheel

This is another type pinwheel that is fun to make.  Our July birthdays include a cousin, a sister, and 2 nephews.  I hope they all enjoy their day.

Flowers for Any Occasion

I really enjoy doing punch art although it is time consuming.  It seems like once I get started on it, I want to keep trying new projects.  There's more to come too.

Rainy Season

Summer is our rainy season and we are always looking for rain to help our yard.  I saw an umbrella card sort of like this one back for a Valentine card. It was made by Jenna. I changed it a lot really but I kept the greeting.  And the butterflies, well they like the rain too.

Castles Everywhere

Lismore Castle
We took pictures of a lot of castles. We would be riding along in the bus and in the distance you could see a castle.  You can see the castles are right on the main street through the city.

The Frog and Ladybug

I have been working on punch art this week and was thinking of my niece as I made this bunch.  She has three little children and a pandora bracelet.  She has picked a ladybug charm for her first daughter and a frog for her son.  Last time I talked to her she hadn't decided on a charm for the youngest daughter.  When she does I will make a card of whatever it is.

Bunratty Ireland

Bunratty Castle

I will spread out pictures from our recent vacation over a few posts.  We got back from Ireland about 10 days ago and finally finished sorting and deleting all of the 1000+ pictures we took.  Don't worry, I won't be posting that many and have deleted over half of them anyway.

Happy July 4th

I saw this card on Splitcoast and saved it to make for my cousin's birthday.  I made another one to send to Jim's aunt as a 4th of July card.  The card I used as inspiration had a blue where I have red and red where I have blue and a different greeting.  Wishing all a Happy July 4th.

Thank You Cards

I knew we would be giving  tips to our tour director, the bus driver, and tour guide.  I didn't want to just hand them money so I made thank you cards to take with me.  I wanted them to be green, like Ireland, but reflect America too.  Since we are from Florida I picked the palm tree stamp and the grass with a bird.  Oh and that was why I thanked my husband in the last post, for taking me to Ireland.  I really was nervous about flying over the Atlantic but all was well.  I will get to some pictures later this week.
