Beach Towel

For some reason the stripes in this paper make me think of the beach.  I have no idea why.  Maybe because of the tropical color and beach towels have stripes on them.  My mom bought me a beach towel for Christmas one year that had a tropical bird on it but no stripes and the bird didn't look anything like this one.

On To Parrot Cards

This bird really isn't a parrot but I have no idea what it is.  Do any of my readers know?  It does look very tropical to me so I used tropical colors on him and around him.  I thought the banners at the top made it look more birthday like.

Last Lemon

The designer paper in the background is fun to use.  It is white on white glossy paper that you sponge with any color you want.  I got two packs free during sale a bration because I can make it whatever color I want to match what I am making.  This is the last lemon for awhile.

Lemons, Lace, and Burlap

The lace is actually a paper doily.  The burlap came from a bag and I forget what was in it.  What ever it was DH opened it and said I think you can use this on your cards.  Yep I have seen it on a lot of projects and just didn't want to buy any.  I think I may have one more lemon card made up to show you and then off to another stamp.

More Lemons

Is it ok to send a birthday card with lemons on it?  I hope the person that receives it doesn't think I am wishing them a sour birthday.  I don't think they will but will focus on the bright colors on the card.

When Life Gives You Lemons...

Make Lemonade.  I have a hard time following that expression.  I do like lemonade and have a recipe for a great blackberry lemonade.  The problem is I like it sweet and that is way too much sugar so I don't make it often.  The next several cards will feature this stamp set.

Happy Hellos

One more from this set and then I will move on to something different.  I do have other cards from this stamp and some from a similar tulip stamp so you will be seeing it again.

Happy Mother's Day

I think this is mother's day, am I right or a week off?  I'm not a mother and mine and DH lost our mothers several years ago so I really don't pay too much attention to the date.  I don't have any Happy Mother's Day stamps but I think this greeting is ok for today.  Happy Mother's Day to my friends and family who are mothers.

Two Cards Different DSP

These cards were made using the same stamp set and the same colors.  The designer paper is different although it did come from the same package.  I am back into my routine of using the same stamp set for several cards before switching sets.  You will be seeing several cards that will look similar.

Happy Birthday Golfer

My brothers all golf having learned when they were very young.  A very good family friend, who just happened to be female, taught them.  She was my mom's best friend, but mom didn't golf.  Today is my brother Bob's birthday.  He is retired but now works full time at a golf course, not a pro.  He schedules banquets, answers the phone, picks up golf balls, etc.  What he likes about the job is he gets to golf free.

Yellow Rubber Ducky

I actually think that right now we have no friends children or nieces that are pregnant.  Amazing because it seems like for the past 10 years that hasn't been the case.  I do like to have cards ready though for all occasions so I am ready for either a girl or a boy once a new one is announced. So many of the older nieces had rubber ducky showers but I didn't have this stamp back then,

Beveled Cross

This is another of those pieces that just can not be captured in a photo.  The contrast of the colors is a real pop.  The piece also looks totally different on each side.  You might wonder how that happens but it is the texture and patterns of the glass.  Look at the blue piece.  The pattern you see looks different on the other side.
