Yellow Streaky Glass
The color of this piece is no where near what it is IRL. This looks almost orange to me but it is a yellow with sort of streaks through it. Lots of bevels are what make the piece look nice.

A Doily Wreath
I saw this idea on pinterest. It is the Hello Doily stamp that I used on the last card that I posted. I had to try it to see if I could make it look like a wreath. The center of the card is covered with a scalloped circle punch out.

Dasher on a Doily
The ladies in my card group love deer and Dasher in particular. So every year we make at least one Christmas card using him. They also like using the Hello Doily. So when I saw a card like this one on splitcoast I thought it was the perfect card to share with them. When they made it we used the eggplant paper for the base instead of white. They like using non-traditional colors.

Another Vintage Santa
I posted some cards with this vintage Santa a few months ago. I am so glad that I found him at Hobby Lobby because I have been looking for him for awhile. Only 25 days until Christmas and that counts today and Christmas Day.

Happy Thanksgiving
This card has some unusual Thanksgiving colors. You may not be able to tell from the picture but the dotted designer paper is Wisteria Wonder which is a shade of purple. I know, that sounds so yucky and Halloweenish. The purple is muted and really has a gray look to it so it is toned down quite a bit. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Happy Birthday Dad
Today would have been my dad's birthday. He and I were both born on the 22nd of a month, just different months and years of course. It is hard to believe that he has been gone 11 years. I miss him and my mom and think of them all the time.

Tropical Glass Creation
This picture does not do this piece justice. I wanted a picture of it but didn't have my camera. So I took the picture with my phone. It is hard to get a good picture of glass and using the phone didn't make it any easier. The diameter of this piece is probably close to 3 feet. I need to measure it sometime and see how close my guess is.

Give Thanks
The name of this Stampin' Up! set is For All Things. It has several stamps and is very versatile. I plan to use the splotch stamp and the smaller leaves for other occasions not just fall cards.

A Second Piece of Pie
Here is another punch art pumpkin that I made. If you don't know why the title of the post is pie, look back to Nov 7 where I explain. I do miss my mom and her cooking. I never was too interested in learning how to cook like she did. She did give her recipes to my DH and he is a good cook.

Veteran's Day
One of the things I am thankful for is our military. Thank you to all of the veterans past and present for serving our country. Our lives would be much different if we did not have them to preserve our freedom.

Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie
When my brothers and I were young, the thing they liked the best about Thanksgiving was my mom made pies, crust too. She only made pumpkin ice cream pie once a year, Thanksgiving. She used vanilla ice cream and added canned pumpkin and spices. Me I preferred cherry or coconut cream pie.

Fireman's Hat
Try to focus on the center clear glass on this piece to see the fire hat. The hat is all beveled glass. The background glass is red, white, and blue spirit glass. To be honest, I do not like spirit glass and it is more expensive than what he usually uses. Having said that, this sheet of glass was perfect for the fire hat. I just wish it showed up better in the picture.

Falling Leaves
It is hard to believe it is November already and time to post Thanksgiving cards. I use a lot of leaves on my cards this time of year even though most of our trees keep their leaves until February. To make this card I carefully placed the white paper on the die and used the negative of what was cut. I then cut a leaf using Cajun Craze cardstock and put some dotted texture on it.

Happy Halloween
Some of the little girls in our neighborhood have the best costumes. The moms make their costumes and they are usually princesses. Their dresses are so cute and full of ruffles.
The past two Halloweens I have had band practice so I didn't get to see them. Looking forward to helping with the candy this year so I can see the great costumes.

Three Little Ghosts
Our sister was here recently. She is not a card maker but does a lot of other crafts. I thought she would enjoy making a few cards. I made this one but she made one for each of her children and their families.

Thirty and Forty
Here are the cards I made for someone turning 30 and someone turning 40. I remember those days. I thought I was getting so old back then. Now I know I wasn't even close to being old and I am sure feeling my age now.

It's All About the Shoes
I CASEd this from my upline's daughter. She was home one weekend and she and her mom had a girl's night and made some cards. Mom posted this on FB and since I hadn't used the set yet I gave it a try. She did use different DSP but other than that I copied just about everything. Thanks Gina.
My favorite character in Wizard of Oz is the wicked witch. I thought she was such a good actress so with the green on the card I thought of her. Who is your favorite character in WoO?

Another Hummingbird
For this card, first I stamped the image. It is one very large stamp. There is a matching embossing folder to make the flower stems and leaves pop out. Next I punched the flowers and sprayed them with gold shimmer paint. The punch I used is the pansy punch. The flowers look splotchy on the picture but it shines IRL.
