Sun City Center Craft Show
Our show this weekend will be Saturday in Sun City at Southshore Church of Christ. We will have our stained glass, greeting cards and other papercrafts. Thankfully it is indoors because the temperatures here are still in the 90s. It is hosted by GFWC Sun City Center Woman's Club. Since it is so hot here and the show is in SUN City, I thought this was an appropriate card to feature.

Tea Time
Lots of rain makes me want a cup of hot tea instead of my usual iced tea. Either way, tea is my beverage of choice. I am not a coffee drinker, never drink it. This stamp is one I bought recently from Technique Junkies.
I have many tea drinking friends, so I am sure I will use it a lot. These cards are helping me along the path of using up my huge stash of designer paper.

Seeing Double
Are you wondering what you are seeing in this picture? Does it look like you are seeing two cats and a bunch of other stuff? The reason you are seeing all the other stuff is because this is a mirror. All the stuff is the other side of the room from where the mirror is hanging. The left side of the mirror is a regular stained glass piece that is supposed to be a cat looking in the mirror seeing her reflection. The right half is a mirror for you to use and see your reflection.
Our first show of the craft season will be in Kissimmee at a cat show. This piece will be coming with us.

Beautiful You
I have seen other cards made with the Beautiful You stamp set where the stamp has been altered. I finally decided to give it a try. If it doesn't work, it's only paper and can be tossed. I don't think these are the best I can do, but I don't think they need to be trashed.
I only inked up the top part of the stamp, up to the waistline. For the blue dress, I drew a long skirt on a scrap piece of cardstock. Using a blue Stampin' Up! watercolor pencil, I traced the pattern on to the card. I then used the blue pencil and a blender pen to make the dress.
To dress it up a little, I used Wink of Stella on the top of the dress.

More Canadian Memories
The last time I posted, I displayed one of Jim's glass panels that reminded me of our recent trip to Canada. This time I have a card that I made that also shows a scene similar to some of the pictures that we took on our trip. The card was made using all rubber stamps from the Stampin' Up! Waterfront set.

Memories of Canada
This glass piece reminds me of the trip we took about a month ago in Western Canada. We saw many scenes like this one with mountains, partially frozen lakes, and even snow.

June is for Dads
Now that we've talked about mother's day and June brides, it is time for the dads. Father's Day will be coming up soon so I made a few cards for the occasion. I like the colors in this paper so that is what I used on most of the Father's Day cards I made.

June Brides
Is June still the month that is known for weddings? I'm not sure that I would pick June for my wedding where I live. I posted a card very similar to this one before. If you look back, you will see that on this one I used a border die on the side and ran some sparkly silver ribbon in the openings. I think this card would make a good 25th wedding anniversary card too.

Belated Mother's Day
I always try to post a card for any holidays and you may have noticed that I missed Mother's Day. I didn't have access to my pictures for the week prior and I didn't want to just post words. The picture of a card or a piece of stained glass is the reason why I keep the blog going. Nobody wants to read all the words that go along with the post. So I hope all my friends and family members had a good day Sunday.

Soda or Pop?
With the great weather we’ve been having, it’s time to go to the beach and enjoy a nice cold drink. I remember going to the soda shop when I was young. There were so many flavors available. So do you say soda or pop? When I was young I said pop, but I don't anymore. I will tell you what I say in the next post when I will feature another soda/pop card.
I used paper and stamps from Stampin’ Up to make this card. I also borrowed a fantastic MFT greeting set from my friend Midge.

Fun Fold
I have made cards with this type fold before but for some reason I have never had the card turned this direction. I am not sure why I decided to turn it this way, but it is different. It sort of looks like the birthday wish should fit down into a slot and hold the card closed. It doesn't work that way though.

Cute Little Ducks
A few posts ago, I used this die with a pair of boots. I thought the little duckies would like to play in the rain also. I added a few reeds from another die set, sponged a little color on them, and added the greeting. Very quick and easy to make. I love using dies on my cards.

St Patrick's Day
So many people have corned beef and cabbage on St Patrick's Day. My family had ham instead of corned beef. My husband's family had it and they all now call it the curse. I guess they didn't like it. We do not have corned beef and cabbage because I don't eat the beef and he doesn't eat cabbage. Since he cooks, it is not happening. We are having soup made with butternut squash, an apple, and carrots. When we were in Ireland, we ate a lot of soup. Every place had soup and it was good. The truth is I don't think we ever saw corned beef with cabbage anywhere we ate in Ireland.

Happy Birthday Boots
March 4 is coming soon. It would have been Jim's father's 99th birthday. It is hard to believe he has been gone 30 years. The sentiment on this card is his sense of humor. It is also appropriate for marching in boots on March 4th (forth).
