Sunflower Wreath

 

One of the things my friends and I like to do is borrow Stampin' Up items from each other. I borrowed the dies needed to make this card from my friend Julie. I’ll be showing other cards I made from it this week.

Leaves

 

This time of the year in most parts of the country the leaves are starting to change color.  Shortly, they will be falling off the trees and will be raked into piles to be trashed or recycled as mulch.  Where we live, the leaves are still green and will not fall until the spring.  For the next few posts, I will be featuring leaves.

Pineapples

 The format for posting has changed since the last time I posted.  Because of that, I have no idea how this post will look when I am finished with it.  Hopefully if it looks bad, and it probably will, I will be able to make adjustments. 

We have planted several pineapple plants using the tops of pineapples  that we have eaten. No fruit yet because they haven’t been planted long enough. Maybe we will have one next year. Here we each made a pineapple one in glass and one in paper. #buylocaltampabay

Red Roses

When I was young, my dad grew roses. My brother now has some of my dad’s rose bushes. My husband makes stained glass panels with roses. I have been with roses most of my life.
Blow this one up bigger so you can see the texture in the clear glass, it looks like rain. Also the clear roses are etched.
Because most of our craft shows are canceled, we are beginning to list items online. Check out what we have posted so far. More will be coming, so check back in a few days.

Blue Blossoms

When I get new things from Stampin’ Up!, I have to try them right away. Of course, I get carried away and make too many. Here is one I made this weekend.

Wise Old Owl

We hear so many owls at night in our neighborhood, but rarely see them. Now we have an owl that we can see, unless he goes to live with someone else.

Peach Poppies

I know I haven't been doing a good job posting on my blog.  I post a lot of projects on my personal Facebook page and also on our business Facebook page.  I need to remember to also post here.  If you are looking for one of our projects, try our Facebook page, Kilroy Krafts.  I am going to try to post here more often too.

I have a series of poppy cards I worked on last week.  I may have gotten a bit carried away with how many I made.  You may get tired of seeing my posts of them and hope I go back to not posting.

Happy Easter

Jim had some glass left from a special order he made.  They may want another window made something like this but a little bigger.  He only had enough glass to make a small one but he wanted to get an idea of how it would look.  This is the end result.

Poppies

I know it has been awhile since I posted to the blog.  I take most of my pictures with my phone and for some reason the phone and the blog do not get along well.  It is so much easier for me to post on Facebook using my phone so that is what I have been doing.  You can find us there by searching for Kilroy Krafts.

I have been featuring cards made using this poppy set on Facebook so that is what you can expect to see for awhile when I post here.  Thank you to all who are working during the corona virus outbreak. I don’t want to forget anyone so I am not going to make a list.

This card has a fun fold which means it opens differently. To open it you would lift using the white card stock that has the purple designer paper on it.  That panel is not attached to the designer paper behind it.

Nativity in Glass

This piece got finished tonight. You can think of it as a late Christmas decoration or getting ready early for next Christmas.

St Lucia Day

Happy St. Lucia Day. When I was young I learned the song about St Lucia (Lu Chia) because I was taught by Italian nuns. Now I say Lu Sha like the island. When we were in Sweden several years ago we attended two ceremonies honoring St Lucia. One was very formal in a church setting. It was beautiful. The second was unexpected and so fun. Children from a nearby school came to our motel during breakfast. It was such a nice surprise and a great experience to end our trip.

Snowflake Spinner

It has been about a month since I posted on the blog.  Did anyone even notice?  I have been posting more on the Facebook page lately and ignoring the blog.  So if you are following the blog and don't see posts for awhile, hop over there and you will see things on it.  Search for Kilroy Krafts.

This snowflake is 3d.  It is a spinner and is beautiful when the sun hits the clear glass.  I would much rather have this type of snowflake than what my family in the north has.

White Birch

This weekend we will be headed to Cedar Key for the Seafood Festival with Jim’s stained glass. It is a two day show, October 19 and 20. I will not have my greeting cards at this event.

A Lonesome Tree

Craft show season is approaching here in Florida. Our first show will be Saturday September 14 at the Maven Market in downtown Tampa. This will be the first time we have participated in this market.  Along with stained glass panels and suncatchers, we will have items for anyone who doesn’t have space to hang items. We will have this tree with us. 

Come Sail Away

I have never bought Stampin Up memories and more cards before because I don’t scrapbook. But some of the lace panels appealed to me so I decided to give them a try. Here is a stack of what I made so far.

 Looks like it is going to be a wet and windy Labor Day here so there won’t be any beach time.

Sympathy Cards

I usually keep a variety of sympathy cards on hand so I can have a selection to pick from when I need one.  I didn't have a good selection left, so I worked the past few days making them.  I made this one both horizontally and vertically.  I liked this one the best.

To make this one, I made a mask and sponged in the sun.  I removed the mask and stamped the trees.

Another Magnolia

Here is another card made using the magnolia stamp. There is a lot of coloring but I really didn't mind doing it. I usually watch TV while I color. That way I don't feel like I am wasting time.

Good Morning Magnolia

I finally ordered some things from the newest catalog. All of the magnolia products were the first items that caught my eye. So the next several posts will feature magnolias.

Take Life by the Reins

It is time to move on to a different stamp set, but not without showing just one more horse.  This would be a good card for a non-traditional graduation card or just to give someone a bit of encouragement.

Leave the Gate Open

This is one of the cards that my card group made with me this past month.  The background on the kraft paper is also a stamp.  The horse was colored with watercolor pencils and smoothed with a blender pen.  Blender pens make my coloring look so much better than what I color without them.
